Agarwood Farms

Australian Agarwood species
Since first planting Aquilaria in 2008 we have continuously selected genetics that are most suited the to Australian environment. In 2012 we started an extreme genetic selection program with the assistance of Dr Tony Page. From 20,000 trees 56 were chosen as the ’super trees’. These were then crossed to create hybrids in 2015. From 2015 our plantings have been selected from these superior genetic trees. Due to the soil, environment and genetic selection our oud is uniquely Australian. Our ‘Super trees’ where most of the genetics were from are our famous 4 cheekily named by our founder and Chair Tim Coakley; Elle McPherson, Bo Derek, Bob and Lleyton Hewitt (you can find out more about this on ‘our story’). ** add link
Agarwood Farms
Since 2008 we have planted over 120,000 trees across far north Queensland. We have harvested approximately 9,250 trees and currently have 77,000 trees planted across 5 different farms with around 27,000 induced with our natural fungi ranging from 3-16 years old.

In the tropics everything grows fast, our maintenance and farm practices ensure our trees have nothing to worry about but grow, reaching 10cm diameter at 3 years old.
