Oud Oil (unrefined)

Pure, natural Australian Oud oil.

Distilled from natural agarwood chip by hydro distillation. 

A bold and commanding composition opens with a rich, animalic accord, where barnyard nuances, sun-dried hay, and warm amber create a deeply evocative foundation. As the fragrance settles on the skin, its complexity gradually unfolds, revealing intriguing layers of peppery spice intertwined with the lush sweetness of fig, golden honey, and delicate floral facets.

Over time, the scent evolves into an exceptionally deep and multifaceted dry-down, each note weaving seamlessly into the next. Like an intricately crafted spice blend whose individual ingredients become impossible to separate, the fragrance leaves behind a captivating, enigmatic trail that is both sophisticated and endlessly fascinating.

Unrefined Australian Oud oil is the dark thick oil that is heavier in aroma and appearance than refined. This oil contains some plant matter and is not soluble.

The aroma is strong and very little is needed adding a sweet complex aroma to any blends. Suitable or incense, bakhour, natural perfumes where solubility is not an issue, or used neat on the skin or to fragrant clothing. This is oil has a strong long lasting presence and has many layers in its complex aroma profile.

The current batch available is distilled from 16 years old trees when harvested and induced by our natural fungi for 3 years.
